Self-service supplier content management for TMCs

A key challenge that travel management companies (TMCs) must navigate is managing access to content in a way that meets the needs of their customers.

Pseudo city codes (PCCs) and supplier credentials allow travel management companies (TMCs) to make bookings with specific suppliers across various countries and currencies. A specialized TMC administrator is often responsible for managing PCCs, content credentials, and access to supplier content, ensuring that a TMC’s unique supplier setup meets the needs of their clients.

We’re excited to announce that powerful new self-service tools for managing access to supplier content are now available for Spotnana’s TMC partners, including a new rules engine, which gives TMC administrators flexible control over PCC assignments.

TMC administrators now have access to:

  • Self-service credential management – TMC administrators can now view and configure credentials for each supplier across Spotnana’s ecosystem of content partners including Sabre, direct NDC integrations, direct integrations with Southwest, RyanAir, and easyJet, Travelfusion, Trainline, and more.
  • Granular ability to enable and disable access to supplier content – TMCs now have the flexibility to enable or disable content for specific suppliers per client, client currency, client country, legal entity, TMC, or by point of sale.
  • Supplier-specific management interfaces – Each supplier now has its own interface, allowing TMCs to set up and manage credentials, control supplier availability, and configure credential assignment rules specific to their clients’ needs.
  • Flexible, rule-based credential assignment with centralized rule evaluation – Built on a new platform-wide rules engine, we provide comprehensive rule configuration for credential assignments. Administrators can now define specific credential rules by client, country, or currency and centralize rule evaluation. This ensures efficient and accurate credential selection every time, with prioritized organization-level rules and TMC-level defaults as fallback options.

TMCs can select individual suppliers and manage their own credentials.

Over the past few decades, content sources have become increasingly fragmented, making it difficult for TMCs to provide their customers with comprehensive access to travel options. Many TMCs today rely on a single GDS as their only source of content.

Spotnana’s Travel-as-a-Service platform is designed to help TMCs overcome the challenge of content fragmentation as well as reduce the cost of travel service operations, improve traveler experiences, and accelerate new customer deployments.

Our interface makes it simple for TMCs to enter and link their own PCCs, credential codes, IATA number, and anything else needed to begin operating on Spotnana and serving customers.

Easy-to-use forms for capturing all essential credential information.

Once credentials are entered and active, TMCs can set granular rules at the TMC level and at the organization level for individual clients to determine which PCC is used for a specific booking. Rules can be by geography, by invoicing currency, and more.

This makes it easy for a TMC, for example, to create a dedicated PCC for a large client’s U.S. operations to aid the routing of service requests to a dedicated team of agents, while having that same client use default PCCs in other parts of the world.

TMCs may also want to use specific PCCs to simply reporting for specific customers, or use a specific PCC for a country where they have a negotiated agreement with a supplier, access content through a TMC partner relationship, or have other needs.

Administrators are empowered to create the TMC rules that best fit the needs of their clients.

Once rules are entered, it’s easy to edit or remove them while also seeing how multiple rules apply.

Together, our new capabilities for managing access to supplier content and automating PCC selection via a rules engine accelerate time-to-market for Spotnana’s partner TMCs, and help our TMC partners run their businesses efficiently at scale across multiple geographies and numerous clients.
