Providing care through coverage
At Spotnana, our benefits philosophy is to care for the people who make everything possible.
Spotters around the world work hard to modernize the infrastructure of the trillion-dollar travel industry, and we offer exceptional benefits to express our gratitude as well as provide everyone with the support they need to focus on driving transformative change for our customers.
Making Spotnana a great place to work starts with a focus on employee health and well-being. We offer medical, dental, and visual coverage at no cost to the employee to create the best possible work environment. Additionally, we offer an HSA plan that enables Spotters to save for any future health needs they may have. To support employee mental health, we offer Ginger emotional support coaching, myStrength emotional health planning, and Calm app access at no additional cost through Kaiser. We also offer a U.S. mental health benefit – Spring Health – that allows employees and their dependents to get free in-person or virtual therapy.
As we continue to grow our well-being benefits, we look forward to expanding this coverage globally.
To help employees plan for the future, we offer a Retirement Savings Plan in the US and UK with an employer contribution.
In addition, we offer competitive compensation, 20 days paid time off per year, a hybrid work model, and Focus Fridays with no internal meetings to provide an opportunity for uninterrupted deep work each week.
Making life better for Spotters
Our goal is to meet the needs of every Spotter in our employee base. Exceptional employee benefits go beyond healthcare.
Many of our Spotters are parents, and we are mindful of the important, full-time role of parenthood. To support employees who are tackling the challenges of early parenthood, we provide up to 26 weeks of parental leave (half a year). At the end of 26 weeks, we evaluate a reasonable return to work based on a Spotter’s experience with early parenthood.
One of our core Spotnana values is Build Locally, Serve Globally. We embrace a global mindset and celebrate diversity as we serve customers around the world. Our values inform how we strive to better serve our employees. For example, we are currently looking into a variety of parental coverage solutions to support family life in India. Many of our India-based Spotters share a home with their parents because family is a core value in Indian culture.
We have also rolled out an exciting new legal perk that provides attorney access for every US and UK Spotter. After considering their potential legal needs, we found that Rocket Lawyer Legal Benefits offered the most extensive coverage. This perk includes attorney Q&A, attorney phone consultations, instant online signatures on any document, a 40% discount off the attorney’s hourly billing rate, and a library of hundreds of legal documents such as wills, leases, and child care authorization forms.
People form stronger bonds of trust, empathy, and understanding when they gather together in person. We are excited to announce a new perk for Spotters: the IATA/IATAN ID Card. This card provides travel professionals with worldwide travel benefits including discounts with travel providers.
Recognizing the dignity of each individual
Spotters are a diverse group of people who call many different states, provinces, and countries home. They practice many faiths, embrace a range of gender expressions, and belong to families of many forms. This is why our core value of Respect Above All drives our benefits philosophy.
In addition to offering time off for holidays and life events, we offer Recharge Days once every quarter. On Recharge Days, the entire company closes to provide every Spotter across the globe with a full day to reset, refresh, and re-energize. We grant floating days for employees on shifts that work during this time. Through Recharge Days and floating days, we demonstrate our gratitude for our employees’ hard work during the quarter.
Families can take all forms. They can feature birthing and non-birthing parents. The children belonging to these families can be born into them, adopted, or conceived through in vitro fertilization. That is why we have rolled out a fertility/family forming benefit in the U.S., making fertility care more accessible and affordable to everyone — regardless of age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or location.
At Spotnana, we believe that no matter how a family is created, they must be respected and supported as the family unit they are. Our parental leave policy was crafted with this thinking at its heart. We are mindful of the fact that adoption and in vitro fertilization require extensive time to conduct travel, child and birth parent meetings, and formal legal processes. We want to make family life as easy as possible for our employees.
One of the most important ways we care for our employees is through benefits that make life easier and more rewarding. If our benefits sound interesting to you and you’re passionate about technology that helps people all over the world connect and enjoy shared in-person experiences, we hope you’ll join our team.
