Growing with our TMC partners

I am excited about the decade ahead. Spotnana has an opportunity to dramatically improve the traveler experience, to anticipate and proactively service the traveler during a trip, radically reduce the cost of servicing, become a trusted source of content, and create a transparent relationship between travel providers and travelers. All on an open platform that allows anyone to innovate and add value for all members of the travel ecosystem.

Over the past year, we reached a number of milestones in pursuit of our vision. At the top of that list is our growing ecosystem of TMC partners that are building their future architectures on the Spotnana platform.

This month, Direct Travel, one of the largest travel management companies in the world, began field-testing its Avenir platform, which Spotnana powers, and, in the coming months, will start onboarding its first customers. In 2024, Solutions Travel, one of our first TMC partners, materially grew its business and is now serving multinational customers across 27 countries with plans to expand further. CWT has onboarded a number of large enterprise customers. And JTB Business Travel, who announced a partnership with Spotnana and Goodwings earlier this year, is actively deploying additional NDC integrations to provide customers with a greater range of travel options. 

Together with our TMC partners, we are working to provide benefits in four key areas through Spotnana’s travel platform:

  • Improved experience for travelers and corporations – Spotnana offers a consumer-grade user interface, advanced self-service capabilities, an extensive set of highly configurable tools for travel managers, and real-time global analytics.
  • Access to comprehensive global content – Spotnana’s unique architecture supports seamless search, booking, and servicing across a wide range of content sources including a growing set of direct NDC integrations.
  • Reduced TMC operating costs – by offering a single global platform for travelers and agents, that includes mid-office technology, workflow automation, proactive and predictive AI services, and an extensible system of record, Spotnana can significantly decrease the cost of servicing and simplify technology management.
  • Future-proof open architecture – Spotnana’s TMC partners benefit from an open platform that they can integrate with their preferred technology partners and use to develop new product offerings, all while constantly receiving a steady stream of new enhancements on a weekly basis.

Building an open platform to power The Perfect Trip

Spotnana’s Travel-as-a-Service platform operates very differently from other travel solutions. For example, Spotnana was developed from the ground up to integrate seamlessly with any content source, manage orders without relying on PNRs, automate complex workflows, and provide tools for travelers and travel agents on a single global platform.

In Spotnana’s early years, we had to prove our value proposition by building our own TMC.  Understandably, existing travel management companies wanted to see proof points of the value that our platform delivered before making investments to adopt a modern travel platform. As you would expect, our internal TMC, albeit modest in scale, became an accelerator for innovation and an environment that allowed us to better understand the needs of our TMC partners.

That work has allowed Spotnana to become the Travel-as-a-Service platform for modern TMCs. Today, we are serving some of the largest travel buyers in the world through our TMC partners. In the years ahead, it is our hope that every TMC – in the corporate travel market and the consumer travel market – will run on the Spotnana platform, leveraging our innovations, those of our partners, or perhaps building their own innovations on Spotnana’s open tech stack.

Over the course of 2025, we expect to expand our suite of solutions such that our TMC partners can deploy the Spotnana platform in a few months and can reduce the cost of travel service operations by as much as 50%.

Spotnana wants to help all parts of the travel ecosystem innovate at a faster pace while leveraging the innovations of others – across both corporate and leisure travel. We look forward to working closely with our customers and partners to support their needs as we continue building the open platform that powers The Perfect Trip.
